About UsWHO ARE WE?Welcome to First Christian Church of Texas City where All are Welcome...ALWAYS! Founded in 1922, the First Christian Church (Disciples of Christ) of Texas City has been a part of the community for nearly 100 years. We are a congregation of the Christian Church (Disciples of Christ). We are Disciples of Christ, a movement for wholeness in a fragmented world. As part of the one body of Christ, we welcome all to the Lord's table each Sunday, as God has welcomed us.

CHRISTIAN CHURCH (DISCIPLES OF CHRIST)
We are a congregation affiliated with the Christian Church (Disciples of Christ). We are a diverse group of Christians who believe "In essentials, unity. In non-essentials, liberty. In all things, love." We gather around the communion table every Sunday and we believe that ALL are welcome at God's table. We encourage you to get to know our tradition by watching the video below or discovering more at www.disciples.org.

Blue TheologyThe Blue Theology Mission Station is a place where current science in marine biology informs a theology of creation care
The Blue Theology Mission Station located at First Christian Church of Texas City, Texas, located on Galveston Bay . We are currently accepting applications for the summer of 2022. The Blue Theology Mission Station partners with local educational organizations focused on marine biology and offers a program that encourages faith formation through reflection and creativity. Hands-on projects include beach clean-ups, sand dune restoration, and scientific data collection. Groups are challenged to explore ways to promote ocean stewardship in their home communities. Prayerfully consider doing a different kind of mission trip next summer by signing up for a learning/serving experience in Blue Theology: A Christian Response to Ocean Stewardship. |
