Hurricane Harvey Recovery Efforts
Our church's mission station, built after Hurricane Ike in 2008, has been called into service once again as we host volunteer groups working in the Galveston County area for Hurricane Harvey in 2017. So far we have hosted over 20 groups of Episcopalian, Disciples, Presbyterian, Methodist, and United Church of Christ groups from all over the country from Washington state to Washington, D.C. Two years after Hurricane Harvey, there is still a great need for volunteer groups! Disciples Volunteering and Week of Compassion have worked hard to get involved in local disaster recovery efforts and find ways for Disciples to give back. For more information about bringing a group to our mission station go to: https://www.discipleshomemissions.org/missions-advocacy/disciples-volunteering/servants-needed/texas-response/.
